Damselfly embrace

A male damselfly holds onto the female after mating to prevent other males from inseminating her. Taken in my garden this week.

Dimply damsel, sweetly smiling,
All caressing, none beguiling,
Bud of beauty, fairly blowing,
Every charm to nature owing.
