A century ago today, a state of war was declared between the UK and Germany. WW1 would claim 16 million lives in just over four years. I could hardly resist sharing one more poppy field tonight.
And yet war rages on today in different forms, but of attrition nonetheless. When is it exactly will we learn the lesson? Fields of poppies is something we don’t have here. Reminds me a bit of our crimson clover in east Texas.
