Instead of a moongazing hare, a moongazing concorde. Except that its windows/eyes are covered in snow.
This 40% model of the famous aircraft used to be at the entrance to Heathrow Airport but, with the demise of its full sized brethren, the model was decommissioned. It now stands sentinel at the entrance to Brooklands Museum and Mercedes Benz World in Weybridge, Surrey.
I still miss the sound of Concorde going over London everyday. Everyone would stop what they were doing and look to the sky to say hello.
The Concorde is an absolutely beautiful airframe. I wish I had a chance to see it fly, but my age doesn’t allow. It’s a shame that the whole thing was cancelled…

When I was young, seeing this out of the window of a the moving car meant I was going on holiday somewhere amazing.
