The weather during my recent trip to the Lofoten Islands was often disappointing, but necessity being the mother of invention, I tried to make the most of it. This minimal image captures something of the lonely, bleak feeling of these islands when the weather closes in.
So simple yet very beautiful!

The work “Bleak” is so fitting, Nice picture with feeling (a cold feeling!) Were you up there to see the recent solar eclipse????? I believe the Lofoton islands were one of the only land areas where the totality passed. M 🙂
Thanks! No, I went after the eclipse. But I did see a lot of aurora instead (see previous post).

Oh my gosh. That makes me positively HAPPY to be in 90-degree weather. I’m guessing you didn’t go out in flip-flops. It is a very stoic serene, though, isn’t it?
