Of the many photographs I took at La Corbiere, on Jersey, this summer, this is probably my favourite. I can’t begin to convey adequately how it felt to be there listening to the waves and waiting for the light. When the sun peeked through the clouds just before dipping below the horizon, it was glorious.
Did you add a star filter, or did that naturally occur?
No star filter. It’s just the result of shooting at a narrow aperture. I suppose it would be helpful if I added exif data to my images sometimes. This one is f18 (hence the starburst). 0.8, ISO 100. Circ. polariser (to lengthen the exposure 2 stops). Tripod and remote release.
Ah . . . thanks.
Perfect! Just perfect!
Yes, perfect. And I know that feeling you refer to oh so well… heavenly moments to treasure.
Beautiful. Makes me miss a nice, unspoiled coastline even more.
Fantastic starbust you got going on there. Just peeking out. Really beautiful photo.
Glorious is indeed the right word for it Rachael..
